As part of their practical or on-the-job-training, the ABET Practitioners provide ABET programmes to a total of 550 learners in and around the villages in the OR Tambo District Municipality.

The MQA had set aside funds in the 2006-2007 financial year for the training of an additional 250 ABET Practitioners in the sector in the NQF 4 and 5 ABET Practices Learnerships. The training learning delivery occurs in the sector.
